I recently completed the Bottlemart Smiddy Challenge, 2011 - riding from Brisbane to Townsville in 8 days. I can't adequately describe what an honour it was riding with a fantastic bunch of people, being looked after by an amazing support crew & raising money for a great cause. But I can say that it was an inspirational experience and has inspired me to continue being actively part of the biggest family I know - The Smiddy family.

So watch out for me on the hills. I'm the small one that yells & points out everything on the road.

2012 Pyrenees Smiddy Challenge for Smiling for Smiddy

Challenge yourself to fight cancer with Smiling for Smiddy and feel the spirit, find yourself and fund a cure.

Held in memory of Adam Smiddy, who passed away to an aggressive cancer aged 26, Smiling for Smiddy delivers inspired challenge events which engage individuals & communities to raise funds for cancer research. More than $2 million has been raised since 2006.

Mater Foundation is major beneficiary with funds supporting world-class research in areas such as melanoma, prostate cancer and complementary therapies for cancer patients.

Other beneficiaries include PA Research Foundation, Melanoma Patients Australia and Flinders Medical Centre Foundation.
