The Midi Smiddy enters its fourth year in 2013, challenging 50 cyclists to an unforgettable long weekend.  The three-day, 570km cycle heads west to Toowoomba and Warwick before returning to Brisbane.

The major beneficiary is Mater Foundation where funds support research into melanoma and prostate cancer as well as complementary therapies for cancer patients.

Funds are also distributed to PA Research Foundation, Melanoma Patients Australia and LIVESTRONG Cancer Research Centre at Flinders Medical Centre Foundation, SA.

Held in memory of Adam Smiddy, who passed away to an aggressive cancer aged 26, Smiling for Smiddy delivers inspired challenge events which engage individuals & communities to raise funds for cancer research. More than $3 million has been raised since 2006.

Mater Foundation is major beneficiary with funds supporting world-class research in areas such as melanoma, prostate, breast and ovarian cancers as well as complementary therapies for cancer patients.

Other beneficiaries include PA Research Foundation, Melanoma Patients Australia and Flinders Medical Centre Foundation.
